Dr. Kapil Pant

Dr. Kapil Pant currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at CFD Research Corporation. He joined the company in 2000 and has played a central role in advancing the organization’s technology strategy and innovation portfolio for more than two decades.

In his current role as CTO, Dr. Pant is responsible for developing and aligning technology portfolios to deliver more complete, integrated solutions for customers. He leads product strategy, key customer and strategic partner engagements, and the company’s Internal Research and Development (IRAD) program. Through this work, he focuses on strengthening CFD Research’s ability to pursue and win larger contracts, accelerate the transition of technology from the lab to the field, and deliver meaningful impact on customer missions.

Prior to his appointment as CTO, Dr. Pant served as Executive Vice President of the Biomedical, Energy, and Materials Division, where he led multidisciplinary teams developing innovative designs, prototypes, and models for micro- and nano-scale systems. His technical leadership has supported major advances in biodefense and biodiagnostics, including biological sample preparation, biosensing and detection, particulate collection and concentration, drug delivery devices, and advanced computational modeling of particle and biological transport.

Throughout his career, Dr. Pant has combined deep technical expertise with strategic vision. He is the author of more than 75 journal and conference publications, an inventor on over 15 patents, and a principal contributor to the SynVivo® family of products, demonstrating his ability to translate research into practical, deployable solutions.

Dr. Pant holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
