Senior Director, Energy & Materials
Ashok Raman is the Senior Director of the Energy and Materials team at CFD Research, where he leads a dynamic group of engineers and scientists tackling complex, multidisciplinary challenges. His team’s work spans a wide range of cutting-edge areas, including materials design for extreme environments, electronics reliability, nanostructured optics, and advanced power and energy technologies such as next-generation batteries.
With a career rooted in innovation and scientific rigor, Ashok has authored over 100 publications across peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and technical workshops. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani in India and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
Since joining CFD Research in 2001, Ashok has remained at the forefront of technology development, bringing curiosity, depth, and leadership to every project he takes on.
