CFD Research Corporation expands operations in Cummings Research Park

CFD Research Corporation (CFD) recently expanded its operations in Cummings Research Park (CRP) in Huntsville, Ala. Located just a two-minute walk from CFD’s primary headquarters on Moquin Dr., the new facility adds 21,967 sq ft in the former Davidson Technologies building, offering 40 additional offices and room for further growth. A naming contest among employees has dubbed the new site the “Discovery Center,” reflecting its location on Discovery Drive.

Inc. recently unveiled its 2024 list of the fastest-growing private companies, and CFD Research Corporation (CFDRC) is proud to be named a 2024 Inc. 5000 honoree, marking its fourth consecutive appearance on the prestigious list. The Inc. 5000 showcases the most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses in America, and CFD Research ranking at #14 in the Huntsville area and #4025 in the US, with 112% revenue growth over the last three years, underscores a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing evolution.

CFD Research to Develop Warfighter Avatars for Personalized Performance Assessment and Simulation-Based Training

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recently awarded CFD Research a contract to develop computer software for generating dynamic warfighter avatars with mission-relevant movements such as walking, running, crawling, and other military-relevant motions. This work will bring realistic motion capabilities to the static avatars currently used by the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) and provide a novel capability for assessing personalized responses to exercise, load, and extreme environments.
