CFD Research to Develop Warfighter Avatars for Personalized Performance Assessment and Simulation-Based Training

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recently awarded CFD Research a contract to develop computer software for generating dynamic warfighter avatars with mission-relevant movements such as walking, running, crawling, and other military-relevant motions. This work will bring realistic motion capabilities to the static avatars currently used by the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) and provide a novel capability for assessing personalized responses to exercise, load, and extreme environments.

CFD Research developing cyber-physical threat diagnostics system for Air Force manufacturing systems using deep learning

CFD Research has been awarded a $1.25M Direct to Phase II SBIR contract from the U.S. Air Force AFWERX to develop and demonstrate a framework based on energy consumption auditing and deep learning for real-time health monitoring and diagnosis of threats in manufacturing systems. The effort is supporting the Air Force’s Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG) at Warner Robins Air Logistic Complex.

CFD Research Expands Hollywood Facility

CFD Research Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new engineering test and evaluation facility in Hollywood, AL, on November 2nd. Dale Strong, Madison County Commission Chair and candidate for U.S. House of Representatives AL-5, headlined the ceremony. Other speakers included State Senator Steve Livingston, Nathan Lee, President of the Jackson County Economic Development Authority, and Scottsboro Mayor Jim McCamy.
