Director & Division Chief, Biotechnology & Life Sciences

Dr. Carrie German is the Division Chief of the Biotechnology and Life Sciences Division at CFD Research Corporation, where she leads teams advancing innovative biomedical technologies and research solutions. In this role, she oversees technical strategy, portfolio growth, and commercialization efforts supporting government and commercial partners.

Dr. German began her career at CFD Research in 2017, working on the development of complementary computational and experimental models to support therapeutic research and chemical and pathogen exposure studies. Since then, she has progressed from technical execution roles into leadership positions, including Group Leader and Manager. Throughout her career at CFD Research, she has directed the development of a diverse portfolio of technologies, including microphysiological systems (MPS) and in silico models of MPS, animal, and human pharmacology and physiology. Her work has been driven through extensive collaboration with organizations such as the Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, CASIS, and commercial pharmaceutical partners.

Dr. German holds a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. She has authored more than 15 publications and holds five patents.
