CFD Research to Develop Warfighter Avatars for Personalized Performance Assessment and Simulation-Based Training

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recently awarded CFD Research a contract to develop computer software for generating dynamic warfighter avatars with mission-relevant movements such as walking, running, crawling, and other military-relevant motions. This work will bring realistic motion capabilities to the static avatars currently used by the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) and provide a novel capability for assessing personalized responses to exercise, load, and extreme environments.

CFD Research developing cyber-physical threat diagnostics system for Air Force manufacturing systems using deep learning

CFD Research has been awarded a $1.25M Direct to Phase II SBIR contract from the U.S. Air Force AFWERX to develop and demonstrate a framework based on energy consumption auditing and deep learning for real-time health monitoring and diagnosis of threats in manufacturing systems. The effort is supporting the Air Force’s Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG) at Warner Robins Air Logistic Complex.
