CFD Research has been awarded a $6.9M Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI) contract from the U.S. Air Force AFWERX office to enhance U.S. ground test capabilities. CFD Research will conduct design, fabrication and test activities to support enhancement of test facilities of interest to the Air Force and other DoD agencies.
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recently awarded CFD Research a contract to develop computer software for generating dynamic warfighter avatars with mission-relevant movements such as walking, running, crawling, and other military-relevant motions. This work will bring realistic motion capabilities to the static avatars currently used by the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) and provide a novel capability for assessing personalized responses to exercise, load, and extreme environments.
