(Huntsville, Ala.) – CFD Research is celebrating another milestone year of community impact, raising $41,000 through its annual CFD Research–Liz Hurley Golf Classic to support lifesaving breast cancer research and care at Huntsville Hospital’s Breast Center. Now in its eighth year, the event brought together over 45 teams for a day of camaraderie and purpose, continuing a proud tradition that has generated nearly $300,000 over the past decade for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation and the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund.
Although best known for its groundbreaking research and technology development, CFD Research takes equal pride in supporting causes that directly benefit the local community. Proceeds from the tournament help fund critical upgrades to the Breast Center’s equipment and facilities, advancing diagnostic care and enhancing patient comfort for those battling breast cancer across North Alabama.
“Although our company conducts impactful research every day, it’s equally important to us to fund research and upgrades that make a difference locally,” said Sameer Singhal, President & CEO of CFD Research. “Our team wears shirts at the Ribbon Run that list the names of survivors and those we’ve lost. Almost everyone has a family member or friend affected by breast cancer. Being able to do our part as employee-owners means a lot to all of us.”
Proceeds from this year’s tournament will continue to support the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Breast Cancer Patient Experience Project, which provides cutting-edge technology, advanced diagnostics, and free support classes for survivors.
What began as a modest event has grown into a community-driven tradition, uniting local businesses, employee-owners, and supporters in the fight against breast cancer. The continued success of the CFD Research–Liz Hurley Golf Classic reflects both the generosity of the community and CFD Research’s commitment to giving back where it matters most.
